Where were you?

In 2003, the animator María Trénor became internationally known with ¿Con qué la lavaré?, a beautiful short film that already positioned itself as a bet for making visible less known realities. Undoubtedly, it marked a starting point and a commitment that has characterized much of her career. With ¿Dónde estabas tú? the filmmaker undertakes a work on the possibilities of making a different representation in the denunciation of gender violence, documented with trips to Mozambique and the Philippines in which she was able to conduct the interviews that resulted in the three stories of the short film.

Synopsis: This animated short film challenges us directly to make us reflect on the transversal and universal reality of violence against women: daily, subtle or brutal violence. All of them terrible. All intolerable.
