Schelly Talalay Dardashti is a Jewish genetic genealogist and journalist with over 30 years of experience. She was the genealogy columnist for the Jerusalem Post and has written for many other publications. She is an award-winning Jewish genealogy blogger with Tracing the Tribe, now on Facebook with over 31,000 global members. She is also the US genealogy advisor for MyHeritage.com, and a sought-after conference speaker. A New York native, she is a fluent Farsi speaker, who lived in Iran before the Islamic Revolution. She has researched her family though Spain, Eastern Europe, Israel, and the US, for some 35 years.
