Sorda

The joint work of Eva Libertad and Nuria Muñoz has already resulted in three short films, in which their scripts stand out, aimed at elaborating surprising adventures tinged with peculiarity, as can be seen in Leo and Álex en pleno siglo XXI (2019) and Nikolina (2020), their previous works, and, of course, also in Sorda. In this last short film they elaborate the personal conflict of their protagonist, played by the deaf actress Miriam Garlo -sister of Eva Libertad-, while playing with sound and hearing, turning them into characters in the story. It was the first short film shot in sign language to be nominated for a Goya Award.

Synopsis: Ángela and Darío are a young couple facing a new challenge: having a child. Both must solve their communication problems, but Ángela fights a different war, how can a deaf woman cope with a society full of prejudices?
