Flamenco Dance for Children: Sevillanas and Guajira with Abanico
This course introduces children to the fun and engaging world of Flamenco through two joyful and expressive styles: Sevillanas and Guajira.
Students will learn the basic steps, rhythms, and movements of Sevillanas, one of the most popular traditional dances of Andalucía, as well as a choreography inspired by Guajira, a graceful and elegant palo that allows children to explore musicality, coordination, and expression.
The course will also introduce the use of the abanico (fan), an accessory that encourages creativity, coordination, and confidence while adding a playful and colourful element to the dance.
Through movement, music, and rhythm games, children will develop coordination, posture, body awareness, and self-expression in a positive and supportive environment. The classes are designed to foster a love for dance, creativity, and the rich cultural heritage of Flamenco.
