Flamenco dance, introductory level (Saturday): Rhythms for fiesta

This beginner-friendly course is an invitation to discover the most festive and joyful side of Flamenco through some of its most accessible rhythms.

Throughout the term, we will explore different styles of Tangos, including Tangos de Badajoz and Tangos de Triana, as well as Rumbas and Jaleos por Bulería. Students will learn a series of short choreographies, including traditional patadas por Bulerías de Jerez, while developing a solid understanding of Flamenco rhythm, musicality, and expression.

The course will also introduce elements of improvisation in Rumbas and Tangos, helping students gain confidence, creativity, and the ability to participate naturally in Flamenco gatherings and celebrations.

No previous Flamenco experience is required. The focus is on enjoying movement, connecting with the music, and discovering the rich variety of Flamenco's festive forms in a welcoming and supportive environment.

As a professional Flamenco dancer, choreographer, and physiotherapist, the teacher, Sandra Palomar, pays special attention to healthy movement patterns, posture, coordination, and body awareness, ensuring that students develop both confidence and technique while enjoying the unique energy of Flamenco.
