Storytelling
The Instituto Cervantes Manchester Library, in collaboration with Manchester Central Library, offers an annual programme of storytelling sessions for children. The selected titles are organised into thematic series and also mark key dates and celebrations throughout the year. Each storytelling session is accompanied by creative workshops designed to encourage children's participation and imagination.
In 2026, our programme includes a series of four sessions dedicated to the lives and work of major figures from the Spanish-speaking world: Juan Ramón Jiménez, Frida Kahlo, Federico García Lorca and Pablo Ruiz Picasso.
The remaining sessions will celebrate International Women’s Day, the Manchester Festival of Libraries, the European Day of Languages, Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and Christmas.
