Cita con el cine. «Los ilusos 13+13»
The virtual film club Cita con el cine continues its autumn programme with Los ilusos 13+13, a film that reflects on the drive to make films and on what happens when filmmakers are not shooting. It offers a look at time lost and time shared; everyday routines, endless conversations, nights of excess and meals with friends. It also explores walks after a film screening, falling in love, loneliness and friendship, as memories and experiences are treasured, perhaps one day to become a new film.
SYNOPSIS
Rather than following a traditional narrative structure, the film works as a “film about making films”. It explores the everyday lives of a group of young filmmakers through their conversations, routines, walks, drunken nights and romantic relationships. It also serves as a record of a particular era, with Madrid providing a vibrant backdrop against which future memories are made.
The equation “13+13” in the new title refers to the release date of the earlier black-and-white version, in 2013, plus the thirteen years that have elapsed up to 2026, when this new colour version is released.
